Life Choices - like a car dealership
Several of my clients who have experienced the place between lives describe how we select our next life. One in particular, vividly described it: “It’s almost like going to a car dealership; everybody is making choices and talking through their options.” Life choice is an important step in our continuing soul development. From client descriptions, we appear to have choices in gender, geographic location, physical or mental impairment, and even the conditions and opportunities of our upbringing. The options seem to consolidate into three next-life choices. Each one with a similar learning lesson, but different path to achieve that learning.
Here are three actual examples from one of my client’s descriptions. The next life may be as a man in the American West who grows out of an abusive childhood to become a farmer. Or it may be a girl in India who dies unusually early after struggling with an addiction. Or it could be as a woman in Australia whose low self-confidence leads her into multiple failed relationships. The choices are totally different life experiences, but achieve the required learnings. Note that these examples are from a particularly advanced soul. Most of us aren’t ready for these types of challenging situations. I can imagine that this soul was working on self-confidence, setting boundaries, and overcoming self-imposed limitations.
As souls decide on which life to select, our primary guide is there with us, listening to our rationale and providing advice. (Perhaps that life in India may be too intense for you to learn all the lessons it has to offer.) There are also other helper-guides who provide information on the life choices and answer questions. Our primary guide has a strong influence on this decision through their relationship with our soul. However, ultimately, the decision is ours. We live that experience and our soul learns. We grow and develop and bring it all back with us next time.
The good news is, you can’t do it wrong. We get to do it over and over again, just like selecting the next car at the dealership. The end result is the same, we hop in the car and start driving down the road, and our souls learn and grow along the way.
